In the beautiful setting of Sarajevo’s City Hall, the traditional “Bankers’ Evening” was held, organized by the Association of Banks of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the magazine Banke i Biznis u BiH. During the ceremony, the most successful banking institutions were presented with the prestigious “Zlatni BAM” awards – a long-standing symbol of excellence, stability, and success in the local banking sector.

The Most Successful Banks of 2024
According to independent auditors’ reports on bank performance in 2024, the “Zlatni BAM” awards were presented across 15 competitive categories.
Nova Banka AD Banja Luka stood out this year, receiving awards in three categories – ROE (Return on Equity), ROA (Return on Assets), and Cost Efficiency (CIR).
UniCredit Bank d.d. Mostar maintained its leading position in total assets, while Addiko Bank d.d. Sarajevo received the award for asset growth.
Banka Poštanska štedionica AD Banja Luka was recognized for credit growth, and ProCredit Bank d.d. Sarajevo was once again the leader in household deposit growth.
ASA Banka d.d. Sarajevo remained the leader among banks with predominantly domestic capital, and Komercijalno-investiciona banka d.d. Velika Kladuša received the award for asset-liability alignment.
Special Awards and Innovation
The expert jury recognized Raiffeisen Bank d.d. BiH Sarajevo as the winner in the Overall ESG Impact category, while Sparkasse Bank d.d. BiH, ASA Banka d.d. Sarajevo, and Addiko Bank d.d. Sarajevo received awards for Financial Inclusion and Literacy.
Sparkasse Bank d.d. BiH was also named Eco Partner of the Year, and NLB Banka a.d. Banja Luka together with NLB Banka d.d. Sarajevo were awarded for Innovation in Banking.
UniCredit Bank members in BiH received the award for Best Mobile Banking Application, while Addiko Bank Sarajevo and Banja Luka were recognized for Excellence in Digitalization.
Additionally, the magazine Banke i Biznis u BiH awarded a Special Recognition for Humanitarian Contribution to NLB Banka d.d. Sarajevo and NLB Banka a.d. Banja Luka for their participation in regional aid efforts following last year’s severe floods.
